Defy All Purpose Heavy Duty Water Repellent is the Work-Horse product of the Defy line. This clear concrete sealer is the best driveway sealer because it is ideally suited for use on concrete where chloride ion protection is needed including driveways and sidewalks. This proprietary blend of silanes and siloxanes creates a SaltShield barrier on concrete surfaces, for greater resistances to the deteriorating effects of road salts and de-icing chemicals. This superior concrete waterproofing product is a great choice for both horizontal and vertical above grade surfaces including driveways, sidewalks, adobe, architectural concrete, clay brick, mortars, natural stone, limestone, sandstone, granite, terra cotta, exposed aggregate products, Portland cement stuccos, and concrete masonry units. This easy to apply product is breathable, non-film forming and will not alter the surface color or appearance.

Long Term Protection With This Clear Concrete Sealer

This V.O.C. compliant concrete waterproofer penetrates concrete and masonry up to ¼? or more depending on surface porosity and moisture content at the time of application. It reacts with the minerals in the concrete and masonry in the presence of ultraviolet light and atmospheric moisture. This reaction forms strong permanent bonds beneath the surface and creates a hydrophobic zone that prevents water molecules from penetrating, while allowing free migration of water vapors. The chemical bonds formed during this process become an integral part of the substrate and provide long-term water repellent protection. New masonry must be cured a minimum of 28 days, and at least 3 days after repairs or tuck pointing before product can be applied.
