MasonrySaver Paver Sealer provides protection from both water and the ultra-violet light of the sun. It can be used on most types of horizontal, above grade concrete applications including clay brick, clay paver stones and natural stone. For surfaces that receive heavy tire traffic, such as driveways and concrete sidewalks, the use of DEFY All-Purpose Heavy Duty Water Repellent might be preferred, as it does not form a film on the surface that can be worn off.

Paver Sealer Reduces Fungus, Stabilizes Joint Sand

DEFY Epoxy Fortified Paver Sealer is formulated with special, heavy duty resins and mildewcides, that help to reduce the occurance of fungus while also encapsulating the joint sand to retard the infiltration of ant colonies. It is also a paver sand sealer which helps keep patios cleaner by stabilizing the joint sand, bonding it firmly in place, and helping to keep the sand from washing out during periods of heavy rain as well as helping to reduce weeds from growing up through the joint sand. When properly applied, Defy Epoxy Fortified Paver Sealer enhances the beauty of any paver with a rich wet look without causing the surface to become slippery.

DEFY Epoxy Fortified Paver Sealer is available in 1 and 5 gallon recyclable plastic containers. When using on Cement pavers, the coverage rate is 75-150 square feet per gallon per coat, and 150-200 square feet for clay pavers.

Having just applied their Defy Sealer, which is a fantastic product, with fabulous service from the Distributor, Duval Paint, I decided to switch from my annual application of paver sealer of Stone Glamour to Paver Saver. That was not my best decision regarding due diligence of maintenance to my outside living area.
The product was first attempted to be applied with a sprayer. Too much sealer went out despite changing nozzles and psi. Next up was a roller. The product applied easily but because of the inconsistency of the paver material itself, it was nearly impossible to apply without puddling. The job took forever. What I typically applied in 1/2 hour took all of one day and a couple of hours the next day.
The finished job looked OK, but just that- OK. There was no wet look, even after 3 light coats and approiate drying time. When My wife saw the finished job she wanted to know if I was going to seal the pavers! Not so much, if you get my drift. I've applied sealer on different materials for many, many years so I am not an inductee into the art form required. This time the product just didn't work out.
I'm going to blame this one on me. The poor result simply had to be my fault. That said, I'll be buying and applying the Sparks product, Stone Glamour in the future. I will also be applying Defy wood sealer which is a great product.

The product arrived the very next day. As advertised, the Paver Sealer has been easy to work with using a pump-up sprayer and roller to smooth out the drips. Cleanup is a breeze. Unfortunately, will not be able to rate the product for durability until it is down for a couple years to see how it holds up in the Florida sun.

I just applied this product on my concrete pavers patio and it was very easy to apply. The recommended coverage is true and after proper two coats application looks as its almost not there, keeping the rustic natural look of the pavers while forming a nice protective shield. I am particularly happy with the sand stabilization quality as after drying I see that the sand has somewhat hardened and I am not losing that much and keeps the patio cleaner. I only just applied it so those are the immediate benefits that I see. However, I cannot give opinion as to how the product performs long term or under different weather conditions.

After reading a lot of on line reviews I went with the (DEFY) Masonry Saver Epoxy fortified Paver Sealer to seal up my 15 x 24 brick paver patio that I had power washed clean and re-sanded all the joints. I was looking for a product that would stabilize and bind up the sand to keep the weeds and ants from ruining my patio. I also wanted something that gave a wet look but only a satin finish at best, ie no gloss. I put on 2 coats of this stuff, 2 gallons the first time and 1 gallon for the second coat. after a few days here's my verdict. The sealer worked great on the sand, it's all very nicely coated and "hardened" so time will tell if the ants can dig through this stuff, but I'm very happy with this aspect. The "wet looked" didn't come through as much as I had hoped, my bricks do look darker, but not as much as I thought I would get. As far as gloss goes, the finish is a mild satin appearance, more on the flat side than glossy which is what I wanted, so that was good too. The sealant went on easy, although I switched from a sprayer to a roller for better control. So overall my scores are: Sand bonding = 9, Wet Look = 6, non-glossy = 8, easy of application = 9. I would use this product again. For now I'm rating this 4 stars, but if it prevents the ants and keeps the moss away over time, maybe I'd give it a 4.5.

This product was exactly what I was looking for to seal my 18 year old brick walkway. I used a hand-held sprayer and applied 2 coats. It gave the walk a bit of a gloss, but not too much. Water beaded up from the bricks when I finished. The end product looks good.

Have used this product before to seal my paver patio. Does an outstanding job putting a wet look on same and really hardens the sand inbetween the pavers so that no moss or weeds prevail. Initially put 2 coats on the 1st year, been putting an additional coat every year thereafter. Patio looks as good now as the day it was installed.

I used this on a paver patio and it worked like a charm! I used a spray bottle so I wouldn't pull the sand out of the cracks and it sealed beautifully. Very happy with the product.

My husband finished up the pavers this weekend--they look great! It took us a while to finish just because of the weather--it seemed to rain every other day--but it is now done. So we wouldn't pull sand out of the joints, we bought an inexpensive garden sprayer ($15) with a fan tip to spray the sealer on the pavers, rather than rolling the product on. Worked like charm and cleanup was easy!
