shingles, or over asphalt coatings.

coating is different from aged asphalt. Aged asphalt refers to
Built-Up Roofing (BUR), made up asphalt felts mopped to the roof
substrate with hot liquid asphalt. Some volatile oils will be on
the surface and with time disappear, i.e.; aged. GacoRoof coating
will adhere to aged Built-Up Roofs.
coatings include asphalt emulsion, (Water Base), aluminized and
cut-back, (Solvent Base). These coatings are usually applied over
older BUR roofs. None of these coatings have dependable long term
adhesion to BUR and frequently chip or peel off after several years
of service. It is the possibility of poor adhesion of these asphalt
coatings that make them risky to coat with GacoRoof.

SINGLE COMPONENT SILICONE COATING
GacoRoof is a single component elastomeric air dry silicone rubber
coating that can be applied year round on properly prepared
substrates. GacoRoof has a high level of reflectivity.
GacoRoof is designed as a protective roof coating where ponding
water is a problem.

Excellent adhesion to polyurethane foam, tar roof, built-up roof,

Stability: Three years from date of manufacture. GacoRoof will not
freeze at 32°F but is recommended to store in sealed containers
between 40°F – 85°F.

before application to assure uniform color and consistency.
Apply by brush or roller as received. Cold weather application
requires material to be stored above 65°F (18°C). This will allow
for easier spreading of material. If left longer than 72 hours
between coats, GacoRoof must be cleaned and allowed to dry
completely before proceeding.

coating will cure in 3 to 7 hour depending on temperature and
GacoRoof contains solvent and is combustible. Keep away from heat,
sparks and open flame. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors and
