ALLPRIME™ WATER-BASE PRIMER dries super fast and has virtually no odor. Its working properties make it great to use and its
compatible with all architectural topcoats. Use ALLPRIME™ WATER-BASE PRIMER for interior walls, doors, trim, and paneling - any
surface where a fast-drying, high adhesion primer-sealer is needed. Especially recommended as a general-purpose primer for new
drywall and bare wood trim in addition to previously painted surfaces. ALLPRIME™ WATER-BASE PRIMER flows on smoothly and
levels evenly to a flat, easy-to-sand finish that is a great base coat for latex and oil-base paints and a perfect enamel undercoater.
Surface Preparation: Proper surface preparation is important. Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, dirt, grime, grease, oil, wax, mildew,
wallpaper adhesive, or any contamination that may interfere with adhesion. If unsure, always wash surface with a household ammonia
and water solution, appropriate cleaning solution, or solvent (Do not use TSP as a cleaner). Remove any unsoundly adhered coatings.
Sand any remaining paint edges smooth with the surface. When priming over stained areas, first attempt to remove as much of the
stain as possible by washing, sanding, scraping, etc. Remove interior mildew with an appropriate mildew cleaner. Allow surface to dry
completely before priming. Countersink exposed nail heads, spot-prime and fill all nail holes and gouges with Ready-Patch® spackling
compound or equally suitable material. WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS
TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT
WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-Approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a
HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself and your family by contacting the National Lead
Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead.
New drywall - New drywall must be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove residual joint compound dust prior to priming.
Plaster & Concrete- New plaster must age 30 days before application of ALLPRIME™ WATER-BASE PRIMER. Concrete,
plaster, masonry and related surfaces must be fully cured before priming.
Damaged drywall -Damaged drywall should be repaired prior to priming. Spot prime areas of torn drywall facing paper or exposed gypsum core with GARDZ
Damaged Drywall Sealer and then skim coat with drywall mud before priming total area with ALLPRIME WATER BASED PRIMER.
